Hurricane Sandy

On Tuesday Hurricane Sandy struck the east coast. Reported to be close to the worst storm in the nations history, this superstorm has affected nearly 17 states. So far, at least 55 deaths have been taken in the U.S. on top of the 69 deaths taken by the storm system in the Carribean. Many more are expected to be found within the following days and weeks as rescue workers uncover the damaged states. The damages reported are enormous.

 

Homes, Businesses and roads have been left completely destroyed. Some cities, still two days after the devastating storm hit, remain under water and without power. On Tuesday, a shocking 8.5 million people were left without power.

 

The storm continues to move north into Canadian provinces. It has also reached eastern michigan with winds of 74 miles per hour, wiping out power from at least 153,000 homes and businesses.

 

Many Places are currently accepting any donations that will go towards the recovery of the affected areas.

How Old Is Too Old?

Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween season, and many people wonder how old is too old to be trick-or-treating. What do  you think?

Many people believe that there is a certain age that you should stop trick-or-treating. But there are also many people that think there shouldn't be an age limit.

Once you hit a certain age many kids decide, on their own, that they are too old to be trick-or-treating.

I think that you should be allowed to trick-or-treat until you hit an age where its unacceptable. An unacceptable age to me is like 18. Your not a legal adult until you hit age 18, so you should start to mature at that age.

But I think its okay to dress up no matter what your age. It's different to dress up than it is to go around asking for candy. Your not going to go trick-or-treating when your 30, begging people for candy. But it's okay for a 30 year old to dress up, and pass the candy out in my opinion.

Soccer Player Gets Explosive Thrown At Him

On Sunday during a soccer match between Anorthosis and Omonia Nicosia, an angry fan threw an explosive at one of the players directly while he was down for an injury. Everyone moved aside, rolling on the ground 

 and covering their ears. 

 The explosive showed no physical harm, just the fact of how frightening it was. Speculations were made by fans and news reports, questioning if the original player, that was down for the injury, actually faking. Or maybe the explosive was a test to see if he really was hurt.

What caused this fan to do this? We don't know. The fan possibly wasn't happy with the inconvenienced delay during the game. He/ she has not been caught or named yet. But will definitely receive punishment once found.
